The work Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Xu You was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 101,196.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Xu You have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems in Cursive Script in June this year with an auction result of HKD 6,804,000.00 (€ 795,046.15).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Xu You wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 101.196,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu You auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.804.000,00 (€ 795.046,15).
