Titleslip on album cover by Anan Chikuda (1864-1928), signed with one seal
Colophons on satin cloth by Tani Tetsuomi (1822-1905), dated autumn of gengchen year (1880), signed with three seals; and by Anan Chikuda, signed with two seals
Colophon on wooden box by Anan Chikuda, signed with two seals, dated mid autumn of jiwi year (1919)

Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Poems in Running Script Calligraphy by Xu You. The price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 291,592.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,200,000.00 – 3,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu You - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poems in Cursive Script, which sold at auction in June this year for HKD 6,804,000.00 (€ 795,046.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poems in Running Script Calligraphy von Xu You zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 291.592,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.200.000,00 – 3.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu You mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für HKD 6.804.000,00 (€ 795.046,15) versteigert wurde.
