The work Magnolias by Xu You was worth HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,258.82) to a buyer in November 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu You achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems in Cursive Script in June this year with an auction result of HKD 6,804,000.00 (€ 795,046.15).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Magnolias von Xu You war einem Käufer im November 2013 HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.258,82) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu You erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.804.000,00 (€ 795.046,15).
