Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xu You could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Orchids And Bamboos changed hands for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,075.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu You achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems in Cursive Script in June this year with an auction result of HKD 6,804,000.00 (€ 795,046.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu You konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Orchids And Bamboos für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.075,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu You erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.804.000,00 (€ 795.046,15).
