Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Secluded by Xu Lei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 312,500.00 (€ 35,718.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Lei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decent Of The Moon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,867.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Secluded von Xu Lei kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 312.500,00 (€ 35.718,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Lei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decent Of The Moon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.867,05).
