Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pool by Xu Lei was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction at POLY in August last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,298,000.00 (€ 164,297.27). Admittedly, works by Xu Lei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Decent Of The Moon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,867.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pool von Xu Lei wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings bei POLY versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.298.000,00 (€ 164.297,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Lei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Decent Of The Moon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.867,05).
