Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse and Chairs by Xu Lei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,542.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Lei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Decent Of The Moon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,867.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse and Chairs von Xu Lei kam im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.542,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Lei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Decent Of The Moon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.867,05).
