Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Map of the Mountains and Seas by Xu Lei was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,775.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Lei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decent Of The Moon in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,867.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Map of the Mountains and Seas von Xu Lei wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.775,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Lei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decent Of The Moon im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.867,05).
