Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Goldfish by Xu Gu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 98,400.00 (€ 100,485.65), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xu Gu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chrysanthemums And Peaches in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 6,700,000.00 (€ 737,414.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goldfish von Xu Gu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 98.400,00 (€ 100.485,65) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Gu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chrysanthemums And Peaches im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.700.000,00 (€ 737.414,15).
