This artwork by Xu Gu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. In the Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Chrysanthemum and Gold Fishes sold for HKD 239,400.00 (€ 28,767.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chrysanthemums And Peaches in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 6,700,000.00 (€ 737,414.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Gu erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Chrysanthemum and Gold Fishes für HKD 239.400,00 (€ 28.767,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chrysanthemums And Peaches im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.700.000,00 (€ 737.414,15).
