A top price for Xu Gu - as previously expected
The work Chrysanthemums And Peaches by Xu Gu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 6,700,000.00 (€ 737,414.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 6,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Chrysanthemums And Peaches is the most expensive artwork by Xu Gu that we have observed at auctions so far.
