The work Book From The Sky by Xu Bing was sold in the First Open | Hong Kong auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,641.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Living Word in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,607,500.00 (€ 626,954.17).

Die Arbeit Book From The Sky von Xu Bing wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion First Open | Hong Kong bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.641,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Living Word im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.607.500,00 (€ 626.954,17).
