Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Mirror To Analyze The World (Xi Shi Jian) by Xu Bing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,144.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Living Word in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,607,500.00 (€ 626,954.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Mirror To Analyze The World (Xi Shi Jian) von Xu Bing kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.144,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Living Word im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.607.500,00 (€ 626.954,17).
