Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Clear Sky Over Autumn Mountains by Xu Bangda was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,865.72) to a buyer in October 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Bangda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71).

Die Arbeit Clear Sky Over Autumn Mountains von Xu Bangda war einem Käufer im Oktober 2012 HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.865,72) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Bangda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.650,71) versteigert wurde.
