Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Hermitage In Mountains by Xu Bangda. It changed hands for a price of HKD 189,000.00 (€ 20,933.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Bangda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hermitage In Mountains von Xu Bangda zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 189.000,00 (€ 20.933,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Bangda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.650,71).
