A top price for Xu Bangda
This artwork by Xu Bangda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. This high result makes Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments the most expensive artwork by Xu Bangda that we have observed at auctions so far.
