Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art – Day Sale, which included the work Land 1 by Xie Molin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,260.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Molin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Land 1 von Xie Molin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.260,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Molin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
