In March 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction First Open | Hong Kong, which included the work Untitled (Paints) by Xie Molin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,340.91), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Molin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).

Im März 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion First Open | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Paints) von Xie Molin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.340,91) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Molin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
