Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shut No. 5 by Xie Molin was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 279,400.00 (€ 32,714.88). Admittedly, works by Xie Molin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shut No. 5 von Xie Molin wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 279.400,00 (€ 32.714,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Molin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
