Upper estimate price exceeded by 44 %.
In November 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Colour Drill No. 3 by Xie Molin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,207.94), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Molin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colour Drill No. 3 von Xie Molin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.207,94) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Molin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
