The work Die 5 by Xie Molin was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,112.78), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xie Molin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Die 5 von Xie Molin wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.112,78) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Molin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
