A top price for Xiao Xu
This artwork by Xiao Xu achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction, the work Invisibility sold for HKD 495,600 (€ 51,023) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000. This high result makes Invisibility the most expensive artwork by Xiao Xu that we have observed at auctions so far.
