Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xiao Shufang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Turnip sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Shufang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,560.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Shufang erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Turnip für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.297,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Shufang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.560,47) versteigert wurde.
