Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Strolling along the Mountain by Xiao Shufang was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 28,050.00 (€ 3,480.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Shufang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,560.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Strolling along the Mountain von Xiao Shufang im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 28.050,00 (€ 3.480,78) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Shufang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.560,47).
