This artwork by Xiao Shufang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Flowers sold for HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,664.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 28,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiao Shufang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,560.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Shufang erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Flowers für HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.664,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 28.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Shufang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.560,47).
