Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Pavilion by the River by Xiao Junxian for HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,603.76). This price was achieved in the auction Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Junxian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine Trees in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pavilion by the River von Xiao Junxian für HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.603,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pine Trees im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
