This artwork by Xiao Junxian achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,033.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiao Junxian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pine Trees in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Junxian erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.033,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pine Trees im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
