Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center, which included the work Ink Landscape after Wang Shimin by Xiao Junxian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,398.13), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Junxian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine Trees in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Landscape after Wang Shimin von Xiao Junxian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.398,13) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pine Trees im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
