Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Breeze by Xiao Huirong was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,916.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 380,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiao Huirong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Breeze von Xiao Huirong wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.916,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
