Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lotus by Xiao Huirong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 340,200.00 (€ 40,389.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Admittedly, works by Xiao Huirong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lotus von Xiao Huirong kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 340.200,00 (€ 40.389,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
