Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Xiao Huirong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Huirong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Xiao Huirong wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
