A top price for Xiao Huirong - as previously expected
In May 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn by Xiao Huirong. The price achieved of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 3,800,000.00 – 4,800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Plum Blossoms at Dawn is the most expensive artwork by Xiao Huirong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn von Xiao Huirong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 3.800.000,00 – 4.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Plum Blossoms at Dawn das teuerste Kunstwerk von Xiao Huirong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
