Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Flowers by Xiao Huirong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 61,271.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Xiao Huirong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Xiao Huirong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 61.271,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
