The work Recluse Along The Creek by Xiang Yuanbian was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 262,500.00 (€ 30,890.80), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Xiang Yuanbian have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56) in November 2011 for the work Osmanthus.

Die Arbeit Recluse Along The Creek von Xiang Yuanbian wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 262.500,00 (€ 30.890,80) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Xiang Yuanbian haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56) im November 2011 für die Arbeit Osmanthus beobachtet.
