Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Lotus by Xiang Yuanbian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. The result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,564.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiang Yuanbian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Osmanthus in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Lotus von Xiang Yuanbian kam im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.564,89) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiang Yuanbian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Osmanthus im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56).
