A top price for Xiang Liqing
This artwork by Xiang Liqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2008. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Rock Never sold for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 24,197.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. This high result makes Rock Never the most expensive artwork by Xiang Liqing that we have observed at auctions so far.
