Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xiang Liqing could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Rock Never 2 changed hands for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,412.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiang Liqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rock Never in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 24,197.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiang Liqing konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Rock Never 2 für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.412,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiang Liqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rock Never im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 24.197,27).
