Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xavier Martinez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. In the California Art auction, the work Fountain in Paris and Interior Sketch (a group of two) sold for USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,856.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xavier Martinez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Alcaiseria, Guadalajara, Mexico in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 45,410.00 (€ 46,073.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xavier Martinez erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Fountain in Paris and Interior Sketch (a group of two) für USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.856,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xavier Martinez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Alcaiseria, Guadalajara, Mexico im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.410,00 (€ 46.073,46).
