The work Untitled (Hanfu) by Wu Yiming was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,066.73), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Yiming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man With A Club 2 in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,284.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Hanfu) von Wu Yiming wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.066,73) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Yiming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man With A Club 2 im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.284,58).
