Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Mist and Clouds in the Autumn Forest by Wu Wei. The price achieved of HKD 1,912.50 (€ 218.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Sceneries by a Lake in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,607,500.00 (€ 626,298.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mist and Clouds in the Autumn Forest von Wu Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.912,50 (€ 218,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Sceneries by a Lake im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.607.500,00 (€ 626.298,68).
