In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Today No Water - Chapter 29 by Wu Shanzhuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,111.08), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Shanzhuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paradise, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 81,380.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Today No Water - Chapter 29 von Wu Shanzhuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.111,08) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanzhuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paradise beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 81.380,68) versteigert wurde.
