The work Today No Water by Wu Shanzhuan was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,088.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shanzhuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paradise in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 81,380.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Today No Water von Wu Shanzhuan wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.088,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanzhuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paradise im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 81.380,68).
