This artwork by Wu Shanzhuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Today No Water #6 - Toothpaste sold for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,018.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Shanzhuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paradise, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 81,380.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Shanzhuan erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Today No Water #6 - Toothpaste für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.018,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanzhuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paradise beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 81.380,68) versteigert wurde.
