This artwork by Wu Rongguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem In Running Script sold for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,170.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Rongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,096.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Rongguang erzielte im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.170,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Rongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.096,07).
