The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Wu Rongguang was worth HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,759.65) to a buyer in November 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Rongguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Xingshu, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,096.07).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Rongguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.096,07) versteigert wurde.
