Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Calligraphic Couplets by Wu Rongguang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,348.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Rongguang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,096.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Wu Rongguang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.348,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Rongguang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.096,07).
