Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wu Rongguang was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,956.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Rongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Xingshu in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,096.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Wu Rongguang wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.956,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Rongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.096,07).
