In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Wild Geese Over A Winter Stream by Wu Li. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,755.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wild Geese Over A Winter Stream von Wu Li zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.755,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Li erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Mountains In Seclusion im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.080.000,00 (€ 715.489,87).
