Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Li achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Cross River at Autumn Night sold for HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 198,046.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Li - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Li erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Cross River at Autumn Night für HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 198.046,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Li mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Mountains In Seclusion beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 6.080.000,00 (€ 715.489,87) versteigert wurde.
