Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Studio in the Mountain by Wu Li. The auction ended at the price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 52,086.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio in the Mountain von Wu Li zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 52.086,70) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Li erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Mountains In Seclusion im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.080.000,00 (€ 715.489,87).
